Instance 和 situation 都是指「情况」，但它们之间有一些细微的差别， Instance 是 situation 的一个组成部分，是 situation 中发生的某个具体事件或存在的某个具体例子。 Situation 是比 instance 更广泛的概念，它包含了当时的所有相关因素。

Situation (情况、局面)
● 强调的是整体的情况或局面，包含当时发生的所有事情、存在的条件和影响。
● 比较主观，可能包含个人的感受和判断。
● 可以包含多个 instance。
● The situation in the city is getting worse. (城里的情势正在恶化。)
● I’m sorry you’re in such a difficult situation. (抱歉你陷入那么困难的处境。)
